Our Winning History
Our Record of Winning
The lawyers of Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom have developed an amazing string of trial victories in both state and federal court cases, numerous intermediate appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. We have a long history of winning cases before a jury is ever impaneled. We know how to write motions that get results and we have an impressive history of getting favorable results for our clients.
Our lawyers have achieved state and national recognition for our ability to try lawsuits to judges and juries. Our lawyers are just as comfortable in federal court as in state court. While most of our cases are in Texas, our clients have also called upon us to handle cases in fourteen other jurisdictions. We understand the art of persuasion and the science of learning, and those principles are the same across many different jurisdictions.
Our string of appellate victories over the last six years before the intermediate appellate courts of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals is unparalleled. Not only do we win cases before judges and juries, we have a history of preserving those wins in the appellate courts. When other lawyers lose cases, we are routinely hired to turn those trial losses into appellate wins.
Winning has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with skill, planning, and execution. Our long list of satisfied clients speaks volumes of our ability to bring those strategic attributes to every case we handle.
Our Will to Win
At Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom, our lawyers are never satisfied with anything less than winning. We are trial attorneys, not merely discovery litigators. We handle each lawsuit as if it will be tried. Everything that we do is designed to ultimately persuade a judge or jury of our clients' position. When you are represented by our firm, the opposing party will know that you are willing to take the case all the way to verdict if necessary - this fact alone can make a favorable settlement possible.
Many of our clients turn to our firm on the eve of trial to "rescue" troubled cases or to take over lead counsel responsibilities when the case requires the involvement of counsel with a proven record of courtroom success. Several of our clients refer to us as "parachute" lawyers because of their history of asking us to "parachute" into a case on the eve of trial in order to improve their chances of winning. Of course, we prefer to handle cases from the beginning to make sure they are developed properly and efficiently. Because we understand the importance of teamwork, we are always willing to work with our clients and their lawyers in order to win the case.
Every lawyer wants to win. We are different because we know how to win. When it comes to handling lawsuits, our lawyers play "chess" not "checkers." We know when good results can be delivered through a favorable settlement, a well-timed motion, or the litigation equivalent of "checkmate."
