Skilled in navigating the minefield of construction defect and design defect claims, Martin Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom’s construction defect attorneys successfully represent all types of builders, contractors, and design professionals shielding them from potential exposure.

Who We Represent

Whether we are retained by an insurance carrier to defend our client (the insured) or we are hired directly by a builder, contractor, or design professional client, we approach every case with the same zeal and dedication providing our client with the best defense possible.  At the same time, we are known for giving accurate and honest evaluations of our client’s potential exposure so they can make the most informed decision as they determine their goals and plan for the outcome of their case.  Often, we work side-by-side with our clients’ personal and in-house counsel to provide the most effective strategic defense commensurate with our clients’ goals, whether it be a quick resolution or preparation for arbitration or trial ahead.  We have a proven track record, and we consider it a compliment that many of our direct-hire clients hired our attorneys after first being introduced to us by their insurance carrier.  It is a further compliment that our insurance carriers continue to retain us to defend their insureds precisely because we provide quality service, accurate and honest evaluations, and good results for our clients.

What We Do, Where We Do It and Why

Whether facing a commercial or residential construction defect case, our attorneys effectively represent our clients in every stage of litigation from pre-suit claim development and response to post-judgment issues and appeals.  Our construction defect attorneys are experienced trial lawyers and have a proven track record of success in both arbitration and the courtroom.  We have tried and arbitrated cases all over the state of Texas, from Houston and the Texas coast to El Paso and west Texas, and all along the I-35 corridor from Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton to San Antonio.  With experience in all types of construction defect cases throughout the State of Texas, our attorneys have unique knowledge, experience and insight into the various regional issues that often impact our clients’ cases.

We help our residential clients and their carriers navigate the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act (“RCLA”) process and when called for attempt early resolution, focusing on addressing our clients’ customer’s concerns to the extent possible.  We understand our clients’ desire to build and maintain a good reputation in the industry and we partner with our clients to protect their long-term business goals.  While RCLA does not apply to our clients’ commercial cases, we still bring that same focus on our clients’ business and livelihood, which is often more important than simply winning one case.

If early resolution is not achievable, we are there for our clients to defend them in all phases of the litigation process including discovery, experts, depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration or trial, judgment and appeals if necessary.   We are familiar with the judges, arbitrators, mediators and of course the attorneys and experts in all major venues.  We pride ourselves on having rapport and professional respect with our adversaries, neutral parties and our clients alike.

For your construction defect case, our attorneys are uniquely experienced and capable to shield you and guide you through the minefield of Texas construction defect claims, where we focus on your case so that you can focus on your business.
