Overview

Mark is a civil defense litigator and trial attorney with more than 38 years of experience representing clients in both state and federal courts in Texas. He focuses his practice on defending transportation companies, truck drivers, businesses and individual business owners in professional liability claims, contract disputes, premises liability, personal injury, wrongful death and survival actions. He also has experience representing clients in dram shop claims.

Prior to joining MDJW, Mark's representative clients included multi-national corporations, trucking and logistics companies, swimming pool construction and repair companies, handled construction defect and architect/engineer liability claims. He also handed matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary obligations, breach of warranty, deceptive trade practices and fraud. Mark also has defended clients against disparagement, misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference and collections claims. He has additional experience handling cases concerning civil assault, battery, false imprisonment, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, malicious prosecution, and invasion of privacy.

Mark is regularly appointed by civil district and county courts as an attorney ad litem, and guardian ad litem. He is also a certified mediator and has successfully mediated more than 250 cases involving all aspects of civil litigation. In addition to his legal practice, Mark is an Adjunct Professor for Alvin Community College's paralegal program. For more than 12 years, he has taught civil litigation and personal injury courses.
