Good news regarding quarantines

Newsbrief

Last week, the CDC announced some alternatives to the standard 14 day isolation period.  If testing resources are not available, CDC recommends that a quarantine can end after 10 days if no symptoms are reported during daily monitoring.  If testing resources are available, the quarantine can end after 7 days with a negative test and if no symptoms are reported during daily monitoring.  The residual transmission risk is 1% under the former alternative and 5% under the latter.

Regardless, this guidance enables employees who have been in “close contact” with someone who was COVID+ to more quickly return to work.  A welcome development.

Be safe and stay the course. And of course, let us know if we can help.

Thanks, Jack, Elizabeth and Jim
