Robert has 32 years of litigation experience in multiple areas, including insurance defense, premises liability, construction defect, products liability, fatality accidents and commercial disputes. He has participated in multiple trials and arbitrations, and practices in state and federal courts across Texas. Robert has received an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale-Hubbell®.

Robert is a native Mississippian and moved to Houston in 1982 after finishing college. After a short career as a pharmaceutical sales representative, he went to law school in 1987. He joined Martin, Disiere & Jefferson, the original name of the firm, as an associate on February 1, 2000, thirty days after the firm opened its doors. He was the first associate promoted by the firm to partner. He is married to Gayla, also a native of Mississippi, whom he met in Houston.
