Overview
Kathleen Whaley is a native Houstonian and dedicated associate attorney at Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom. Her practice primarily focuses on civil insurance litigation.
Ms. Whaley began her legal career at age 16 when she was selected to be a student advocate at the National Student Leadership Conference-Law & Advocacy Program in Washington D.C. Inspired by her experience in the program, she began interning at various litigation firms while earning her B.A. in Economics at Texas A&M University. Ms. Whaley then received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, she maintained well-rounded legal skills by achieving limited recognition to practice before the USPTO, earning professional legal research certifications, and participating in national mock trial and moot court competitions.
When she’s not advocating for her clients, Ms. Whaley spends her free time gardening, hiking across Texas, and volunteering with the Junior League of Houston.
