Mr. Disiere is a founding partner and a leading practitioner in the area of complex insurance coverage issues and related litigation. Before entering private practice, Mr. Disiere gained a wealth of experience through 13 years working in-house for one of the world’s largest property and casualty insurers. He has managed claims personnel, both defended and managed first and third party litigation involving high profile insurance disputes and assisted in the development of corporate level policies and procedures. His last five years in-house, he managed and worked as co-counsel on a wide variety of extra-contractual, first-party litigation in several states throughout the nation and, primarily, across the state of Texas. He has addressed complex Texas Department of Insurance issues, developing compliance and response strategies, coverage interpretation, litigation and the development and implementation of effective litigation strategies in complex cases before the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Disiere is also an Adjunct Professor of Property and Casualty Insurance Law at the University of Houston Law Center and holds an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He maintains an active practice developing and shaping Texas insurance jurisprudence involving bad faith, insurance coverage, first and third-party litigation and related issues.
